Description

New Hampshire: The Granite State. While known for its rocks and white mountains, New Hampshire's mere eighteen miles of coast supports a surprisingly vibrant surfing community - bound by their frozen stoke.

We are building a documentary to share the stories and passion of these incredible people.

  3. These are great videos (perfect music, camera work, edits).... but it's always odd to see a surf video that doesn't have even a split second shot of someone actually surfing.

Maybe it's not practical to grab a unique surfing shot on every video, but at least you could employ a Stock "SurfNH" branding clip at the start of each vid: 5 seconds of random surfing with your "Surf NH" logo & music before you transition into your various interviews you have.

  4. Thank you for the feedback! That is certainly a good point and something we will work on. We don't have much quality surfing footage yet and are just sort of working with what we have, but what you say makes sense and we greatly appreciate your thoughts. Eventually, we hope to strike a balance between just a ton of surfing footage and pure lifestyle/interview stuff in hopes of conveying more of the personal experience of surfing, but right now we have zero surfing footage and are still figuring a lot of things out. Thanks again for your thoughts!

  7. Dylan, this is great! Wish I could be editing with you. I like the way you portrayed him - camera is very pleasant and edits keep it all very interesting and dynamic.

I'm not worried about the action shots - I think this initial approach is all game and I want to learn more about your dad after having seen this - so keep it up!
